ULTRA-THIN OVERLAY

ACP Applied provides and installs ultra-thin overlay on roadways, designed to improve noise reduction and increase skid resistance. Our proprietary product, Novachip, provides an overlay for reconstructing, rehabilitating, and resurfacing and is a fast, effective, and economical option for all traffic volume areas.

Novachip is an ultra-thin, bonded, gap-graded wearing course placed by a specialized machine in one pass; and the roadway can be open to traffic again within minutes of application. Novachip bonds well to asphalt and concrete with sound bases, but gives the best results when applied over a pavement preservation layer such as FiberMat®.

No milling is necessary for this ultra-thin overlay, thereby reducing costs. The Novachip layer reduces noise and increases skid resistance on difficult, accident-prone areas. It also decreases backspray and increases visibility in wet weather.
